For instance, you or a senior care provider can turn on your loved one’s favorite playlist before they start working out. This can get them in the mood to do their exercises for that day.
If your elderly loved one needs guided exercises, you can find them free YouTube exercise videos. There are many of these workouts. However, you should make sure to find the ones that are easier for your elderly loved one to follow along with. The person who is leading the workouts should talk calmly but with enthusiasm. You shouldn’t turn on workout videos that are too intense for your elderly loved one. If you create a workout folder for your elderly loved one, their senior care providers can turn it on for them when needed, as well.
Another thing that you should consider when creating your elderly loved one’s exercise plan is the length of the workouts. Your elderly loved one shouldn’t be working out for a long time each day. You should do your best to keep their workouts to between 10 and 30 minutes. Any longer than that and it could cause too much stress on their body. If you pick a certain length and it seems to be too much for your elderly loved one, you should have them try shorter workouts the next day.
